Bisi belle rice (Karnataka or Kannada cuisine) Breakfast Recipe

Bisi belle rice/ Bisi Belle Bath

A traditional, tasty rice and lentil based dish from Karnataka or Kannada cuisine. This recipe is  also an authentic and delicious recipe for Bisbelebath Masala with Bisi Belle Bath Rice. It is often confused with the recipe of other South Indian dishes i.e. Sambar Rice or Sambar Sadam but both are completely different recipes.

The word Bisi Belle Bath in Kannada language literally means hot pulse rice mixture. It is probably one of the most common recipes prepared in almost every household in South India. For either breakfast or lunch or tiffin box, it is one of the most favorite dishes of rice.I personally am a big fan of this traditional rice recipe and it is one of the most frequent weekend breakfast dishes.

Also some ideal variations, suggestions and ideas to serve for an ideal authentic Bisi Belle Bath recipe. First, the choice of vegetables is completely open and can be made with a variety of vegetables such as drumsticks , radishes, peas, capsicum, cabbage, broccoli and even cucumber. After being told not to finish adding more vegetables and maintain a balance between rice and vegetables. Secondly, if you are in a hurry, instead of cooking rice and tur dal separately, you can cook them in a pressure cooker at once. Finally serve Bisibelle rice topped with fresh pickled Bundi pearls for your morning breakfast or lunch or dinner.
