                         Grilled Cheese Chilli Sandwich

     Simple and unique way to prepare cheese and green capsicum stuffed sandwiches that are later grilled until crisp and served with additional cheese toppings. A popular sandwich street food with a combination of flavors from the busy streets of Mumbai

    Typically, these chilli cheese sandwiches are served in large triangular shaped white breads. In other words, 3 large sandwich slices are stuffed with finely chopped capsicum and grated cheese, which is grilled until crisp. Later it is served with hot and sweet tomato ketchup along with some extra grated cheese toppings.

    While the stuffing I have prepared in this recipe is very similar to my previous post of Chilli Cheese Toast , there is a slight difference between the 2 recipes. First of all, the main and basic difference in this Chilli Cheese Sandwich recipe is that, I grilled the sandwich while in my previous recipe, I toasted it in the tawa.

      I also put stuffing on top of bread slices and then toasted them on one side . But in this recipe, the mixture of cheese and chilli is filled between 3 slices of bread and grilled later. Also, once the sandwich slices are grilled it has topped with grated cheddar cheese to make it more tasty. Finally I have also added green chutney to each bread slice which makes it spicy and spicy.

IINGREDIANT:
6 slices bread , white / brown (brown)
1 capsicum , finely chopped
1 onion , finely chopped
¾ cup cheddar cheese , grated
½ t tsp pepper , powdered
1 tsp chaat masala
A pinch of salt
4 cups green chutney
2 tsp butter

METHOD:
1.First, mix the chopped capsicum and onion in a large mixing bowl.

2.Also make 4 cups of cheddar cheese or anything you like.

3.Then add ½ teaspoon black pepper, 1 spoon chaat masala and a pinch of salt.

4.Mix well and now the stuffing is ready.

5.Now spread green chutney on top of the bread slices

6.Next, spread the prepared stuffing with 1 tbsp.

7.Spread green chutney on both sides of a bread slice and cover.

8.Spread the finished stuffing again.

9.Now spread the green chutney into third bread slices and cover again. It makes 2 layer stuffing with 3 bread slices

10.Now spread butter and toast it on griddle or grill till it becomes golden.

11.Finally, cut in half and garnish the Chilli Cheese Sandwich with more grated cheese and serve.
