Mutter Chaat

                                                                       Mutter Chaat

If peas are shelled and ready, you can make this chaat anytime. Mutter Chaat is amalgamation of flavours…sweet, spicy and tangy. The bhel gives crisp texture to the chaat. You can even substitute bhel with bhujia. As the monsoon magic unveils the hidden cravings of food in me….I leave you with this spicy and yummy mutter chaat.

Salt as per taste

1.Thoroughly wash and soak the green peas for 10-15 minutes and boil them in enough water until soft. Drain the excess water and set aside.

2.In a pan, add oil and when it heats up fry sliced onions. When the onions turn translucent, add chopped tomato and green chili.

3.Stir until tomatoes turn soft (not mushy) and add in boiled green peas. To this add pepper powder, amchur powder, chaat masala and salt. Toss until green peas get nicely coated with spice powders.

4.Turn off the flame. Mix in bhel and minced coriander leaves. Serve hot by squeezing fresh lemon juice.
