There are numerous and myriad ways to make a day to day dal recipe. this can be done with different types of dal or lentils or with the combination of lentils. one such simple and easy flavoured dal recipe is lasooni dal tadka recipe made with toor dal and a generous amount of garlic seasoning.

As I mentioned previously, dal lasooni or lasooni dal tadka is unique and very easy to prepare compared to other traditional dal recipes. basically, in this recipe, i have not added or seasoned it with finely chopped onions and tomatoes. the lentils are pressure cooked, which is followed by mashing it to a smooth paste. to this, it is added with roughly chopped garlic pods seasoned in a generous amount of ghee. note that while seasoning, i have also added red chilli powder to it. it helps to add the spice level and also texture and colour to garlic dal tadka.

TIPS,VARIATION AND SUGGESTION:

Firstly, you can easily extend the recipe by adding a combination of lentils or dal. you can experiment with combination moong dal, channa dal and even masoor dal with equal quantity.

Secondly, while you are seasoning the garlic pods with chilli powder, add some dry kasuri methi leaves for extra flavour and taste. lastly, you can follow the same step of tempering garlic pods to a normal dal recipe too. in other words, you can use the garlic seasoning with onion and tomato-based seasoning too.
