Raw Fried Jack fruit



  Jackfruit is one of the renowned Superfood in the world. jackfruit can be a fruit, nut, vegan meat or a carbohydrate source. Most people from all over India love it as a fruit and its seed as a protein-rich nut. In India, jackfruit or kothal is a gourmet vegetable for all and in Bengal, it’s called "gacch-patha" (tree Lamb). 

  In Assam its call “Kothalor Musi”(Raw baby Jackfruit). The raw jackfruit is consumed as a protein curry like fish or meat. Raw jackfruit is taken just 2 to 4 days to ripe. Like raw mango, it is creamy white in colour, neutral in taste and has a good aroma of the ripe fruit.

  A raw jackfruit has less to the calories lower than a small bowl of rice. but it has satiation, high fiber, and water content. So anyone can lose weight without feeling hungry at all.Raw jackfruit is great for Diabetes. Medical Science has found that raw jackfruit has a much lower glycemic load than other food.

  The percentage of soluble fiber in jackfruit is very high. It has good fiber in superior quality .it help to remove cholesterol from the body. It a good source of iron too.

INGREDIANT:

1. Pearl & Chop kothal (Half a kilo) in medium pieces
2. 2 big Chopped onion.
3. 3 medium sizes Chopped tomato
4. 5 bulbs of  garlic/ 1.5 inch of ginger, Grind it well
6. 2 tsp turmeric and cumin powder each
7.1 tsp black pepper powder and Kashmiri Mirch powder each 
8. 3 Nos. of bay leaf
9. 2 tsp Methi ( Fenugreek seeds)
10.1 tsp Garam Masala 
11. Mustard oil & salt
12. 2 Nos. Dry Chili

PREPARATION:

1. Heat up the pressure cooker, add mustard oil  
2. Add Methi ( Fenugreek seeds), Dry Chili, bay leaf
3. Then add Chopped onion
4. Add turmeric and cumin powder and stir
5. When onion & other spices turn into brownish in colour then add Chopped tomato
6. Add Ginger garlic paste
7. When all ingredients turn into a paste add garam masala on it. 
8.Add black pepper and Kashmiri Mirch powder and stir well
9. Add  2 cup water on it otherwise, it can be burned
10. Add salt, stir thoroughly
11.Now, add Chop kothal on cooker & stir it for 3 minutes & close the cooker lid. Cook for 25 minutes ( Not less than 4 Whistles) on low heat.Serve with steamed Rice or Roti.
