Doodh Pak Recipe 


     Doodh Pak is a milk and rice pudding flavoured with saffron, cardamom and nuts such as almonds and pistachios. In Gujarat and Gujarati homes around India, Doodh Pak is made for all festive occasions. Celebrate the festival by preparing this quick and tasty Indian dessert at home. INGREDIENTS:
2 liters full fat milk 
¼ cup Rice,washed well and drain water
200 gms Sugar (or according to taste)
¼ tsp Cardamom Powder
Almond shavings, as required

METHOD:
1 Boil milk and reduce to ¾ quantity.
2. Add the rice and let it cook in the milk on low flame. Keep stirring continuously.
3. Add the sugar as per taste.
4. Once the rice is cooked (it should be soft and mushy), add cardamom powder and garnish with almond shavings.
5. Can be served warm or cold.
